Ivory Coast provisional squad announced
The French-born coach released the names of 28 players, including four goalkeepers, but will have to cut that number to 23 ahead of the June 12 – July 13 tournament in Brazil.

The coach said he could possibly rope in two other players before announcing his final squad.

There were no major surprises, although the omission of Siaka Tiene of Montepellier and Drogba's Galatasaray team-mate Emmanuel Eboue drew some raised eyebrows.

The Elephants have been drawn into Group C at the World Cup and will be facing Colombia, Greece and Japan, whom they play against in their opening game.

The former French international Lamouchi, called on the whole country to rally behind the team, which failed to escape the from the group stage at their two previous World Cup appearances in 2006 and 2010.
